What is Nifoxipam

Nifoxipam is a PAM ((positive allosteric modulator) of the benzodiazepine receptors, specifically the ‘diazepam sensitive’ sites. It has not been investigated but is a known to be a metabolite of flunitrazepam showing it has no toxic effects at the weights used for research.

What is Nifoxipam used for?

As an unexplored metabolite, a large range of in vivo and in-vitro research paths are open. The hydroxyl group may be esterified altering solubility values in different solvents. The hydroxyl may be deuterated and readily replaced by other groups giving a research compound with a VERY wide spectrum of uses.
